Here’s how it works: 

  1. An opt-in form is created that collects the name, email, any list segmentation data, and marketing permission.  
  2. That form is then embedded on a landing page dedicated to your lead magnet or in optimal locations throughout your website.  
  3. When a website visitor completes the form, that data is transferred to your email marketing and CRM software.  
  4. Automations in your marketing software immediately re-direct the visitor to a thank you page and send them a thank you email.  
  5. You’re also notified of a new opt-in.  

You have a couple options for your Thank You messages. You might offer:  

  • Immediate access to your lead magnet, or  
  • A postponement of lead magnet delivery until an email confirmation step is completed.
